Rules

How ranking works

Your rank is your app's total amount bid, compared against everyone else's total. Highest total wins. If two apps have the exact same total, whichever one reached that total most recently sits higher — so if someone matches your bid, you need to bid again to stay ahead.

Minimum bid

$1. That's the floor for a new listing and the minimum increase for a top-up.

Top-ups

Bidding is cumulative. If your app is already at $10 and you want to reach $20, you only pay the $10 difference — not $20 again. The number on the leaderboard is always your app's running total, not a single payment.

Eligibility

Your app needs a valid, public Google Play Store listing. We pull its name, icon, rating, and description straight from Play — we don't let you type your own.

Every listing is keyed by its Google Play package ID, not the URL you paste. Tracking parameters, language codes, and referrer tags are ignored — one app always gets exactly one spot, no matter how many different links point to it.

Delisting

If an app is pulled from Google Play, it can be removed from droid.bid too. We're a leaderboard for real, live apps.

Payments

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Your rank is claimed the moment the payment completes — not when checkout opens — and every bid is verified server-side before it ever touches the leaderboard. droid.bid never sees or stores your card details.

Refunds

Payments purchase leaderboard placement at the time of the bid. Rankings change whenever another app bids more. We don't promise a fixed position for any length of time — that's the whole game. Because of that, bids are final.

Abuse

Malware, scams, impersonation, or illegal content will get an app removed, bid or no bid. We'd rather have an honest empty board than a dishonest full one.
